The Body Harmony Association is here to offer full support if you want to become a teacher, and our goal is to help make the process as straightforward and rewarding for you as we can.
You need this level of membership to be certified as a Body Harmony Teacher, and additional benefits over practitioner BHA membership include:
Teacher certification is divided into two sections: A) “Training and Experience” which covers items that require completion, which we ask you to write about; and B) “Skills and Qualities” which the BHA expects to see in a qualified teacher.
Five teachers, some from different regions, and including at least three BHA committee members, are required to certify a new teacher.
A) Training and Expreience
To become a certified BHA Teacher, a certified Practitioner needs to submit a written summary of 500 -1,000 words covering training and experience and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 1,000 hours of class time and practice. This can include:
B) Skills and Qualities
These are the skills and qualities the BHA looks for in Teachers.
All Body Harmony certified Teachers must hold BHA membership and, among other required criteria, demonstrate a commitment to uphold the association’s core values in their work.
The cost of teacher membership is $150 AUD per year.
For detailed guidelines about A) and B), please email get in touch.
