In Body Harmony, we often speak of listening—listening to the body, to the tissue, to the space between words. But as practitioners, are we also attending to our own growth?
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is not just a requirement to remain current in your field—it’s a vital, living expression of the same principles we offer our clients: curiosity, awareness, and transformation.
Body Harmony is not a static modality. It evolves as we do. Every training, seminar, or retreat offers more than just new skills—it deepens the quality of our presence, refines our touch, and sharpens our ability to listen. With each layer of learning, we become more attuned—not just to others, but to ourselves. I know for me that participating in around seven weeks of Body Harmony seminar per year is a blessing of alignment and an anchor to being grounded in my body.
Many practitioners speak of how CPD rekindles their love for the work. It’s easy, especially after years of practice, to fall into routine. But engaging in new learning environments refreshes our perspective. We hear different voices. We receive feedback. We remember what first drew us to this work—and often, we discover new ways of expressing it.
Beyond the techniques, CPD fosters connection. When we come together with other practitioners—whether in person or online—we’re reminded that we’re part of something larger. A shared field. A global body of work that is growing, learning, and listening together.
If you’re feeling the call to expand your skills or simply reconnect with what moves you, here are three rich opportunities to dive deeper:

In sessions, we often encourage clients to remain open, to be with the unknown, to stay curious. CPD asks us to do the same. It’s an act of integrity—an embodied way of saying yes, I am still learning. Yes, I am still growing. Yes, I am willing to meet myself at new edges. And yes I want to be included still on our website.
Continuing professional development is not a checkbox—it’s a gift. A chance to invest in your own excellence. And a way we bring to our clients the best of what we can offer. A way to keep the work alive in your hands and your heart. And a reminder that you, too, are worthy of the same nurturing attention you offer others.
No matter where you are on your Body Harmony path, there’s a place for you to expand, reconnect, and remember why you started.
Also, if you have not logged into the members area recently, there are online class recordings and a few audio ‘drop downs’ that you may be interested in. Log into the Member’s Area.
If you are not a practicing Body Harmony Practitioner yet, rest assured that we do take our ongoing education seriously and it is our intent to be always open to learning more than we know.
Yours Kindly,
Gina Carruthers
