A Body Harmony class on befriending our nervous system

With Andrea Royen, Eva Willenheimer and Susy Joy (Body Harmony Association practitioners and teachers).

We are born wired for connection. We find our sense of wellbeing in our connections to ourselves, to other people, and to the world around us with all that it contains. When any of these are out of sync, interrupted, threatened or disturbed, we can become unanchored, anxious, unwell and out of sorts, sometimes mildly and at others more seriously.

In this weekend class, we will familiarise ourselves with the cycles of our autonomic nervous system and how it moves between different states of connection, action and shutdown. We will explore how to listen to information from our bodies and explore various ways to come back from states of dysregulation into connection and balance.

The Body Harmony touch and approach, along with somatic and awareness exercises, will be the pathway for each participant to discover their unique route to wellbeing, listening to and befriending their own nervous system.

This weekend is open to all – newcomers as well as folk with experience in Body Harmony.
