The other day my son and my two grandchildren popped round. After a little while, Ralph, who’s 6, asked if I’d give him a massage (that’s what he calls Body Harmony.)

“Sure” I said, and we went into my  treatment room where he lay down on my massage couch on his back. I gently put my hands on his feet and ‘listened’ to his body; after spending 5 minutes or so there, I moved up to his right shoulder and arm. I watched his eyelids drifting closed, his breathing deepen, becoming thoroughly relaxed. Shortly after, I heard his dad telling Molly it was time for them all to go, so I unhurriedly removed my hands, moved away and invited him to sit up. When he did, he looked in astonishment at his bare feet –

“I can feel you still touching my feet, you’re still there! I can feel my blood moving all different.” And with that, down he got, smiled, put his on shoes, had a hug, we all said bye and off they went. He really does like the touch.

El otro día mi hijo y mis dos nietos vinieron de visita. Después de un ratito, Ralph de 6 añitos, me preguntó si podía hacerle un masaje (es así como llama Body Harmony).

“Claro” dije, y nos fuimos a mi habitación para los tratamientos y él se acomodó encima de la camilla boca arriba. Puse mis manos con delicadeza en sus pies y “escuché” a su cuerpo; después de unos 5 minutos más o menos fui hacia su hombro derecho y su brazo. Observé que cerró los ojos, su respiración era más profunda y de que se estaba relajandose completamente. Un ratito más tarde oí como su padre estaba diciéndole a Molly que era tiempo de irse ya para todos. Así que retiré mis manos, sin apresurame, me alejé un poco y le invité a sentarse. Cuando lo hizo miró con sorpresa hacia sus pies descalzos.

“Puedo sentir que aún me estas tocando los pies, aún sigues allí! Y siento que mi sangre se está moviendo muy diferente.” Y con ello, se bajó, sonrió, se calzó los zapatos, nos abrazamos, nos despedimos todos y se fue. Realmente ama el toque.
